Ron bought his GT500 about twelve years ago. It sat for
about six years before he decided to have it restored. In September
1994, Ron took it to Lance J. Chase of Fort Johnson, New York
to have the restoration done. The whole vehicle was totally
stripped down to bare steel and then new sheetmetal was installed.
The engine is a 428 cid and has a C-6 autoatic transmission.
All the running gear was redone to factory specs, including
the differential. The complete car was primered in epoxy and
then painted to its original Raven Black finish. The factory
markings have been duplicated and the interior was totally restored
back to original with new covers and foam in the seats. The
Shelby took about 1750 hours to restore and is a pleasure to
drive. The car has 85k miles on it.Lance Chase can be reached at lchase2@nycap.rr.com.
